Ledgers Run By Lomira
The St. Mary’s Springs boys basketball team won a track meet with Lomira 85-73 at the Hutter Gymnasium on Thursday night. The Ledgers led 24-22 at the end of the first quarter as Eric Feldner buried four 3-pointers and had 12 first frame. Lomira senior Sawyer Hoff got the hot hand in the 2nd quarter scoring 12 of his 19 first half points as the Lions took a 41-30 lead into the halftime locker room. Hoff stayed hot scoring 12 in the 3rd to hit 31 for the game, but St. Mary’s Springs kept pace and took the 62-60 lead at the end of the third as Darin Ward scored 7 and Feldner 6 in the quarter. Lomira ran out of gas in the 4th as SMSA outscored them 23-13 to secure the victory. Hoff led all scorers with 33 points. Bryce Banach added 11 and Nick Steger 10 for Lomira. Eric Feldner drilled six 3-pointers on the night and finished with 26. Darin Ward scored 15 of his 17 in the 2nd half and Tony Schmitz added 11. St. Marys’ Springs improves to 16-2 overall and 9-1 in the Flyway. Lomira is 6-11 on the year and 2-8 in league play. The Ledgers will travel to North Fond du Lac on Tuesday, while Lomira goes to WLA.
