Local Congressman Glen Grothman working at cutting back unnecessary government spending

Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district Congressman Glenn Grothman recently spoke during a Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services hearing where he spoke with Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation and Patrice Onwuka of the Center for Economic Opportunity at Independent Women’s Forum.
When asked about spending, Rector said, “We don’t even know how much money we spend. There’s no record of total spending on means-tested programs for children.”
Onwuka also noted that an estimated 60% of able-bodied adults are on Medicaid, calling it ”a problem that needs to be fixed.”
Grothman, who is the Chairman of the Subcommittee, promised that his group will “work with the Trump Administration to cut back on unnecessary government spending and empower American workers and families through reforms to the deficient welfare state.”
