Man Arrested After Standoff with FDL Police

A 25 year old man from Fond du Lac
has been arrested after a domestic abuse incident in Fond du Lac early this (Wednesday) morning.
Police say they responded to a residence on North Peters Avenue in the City of Fond du Lac at 1:48 this (Wednesday) morning in response to a domestic abuse incident which involved the threat of a
gun. Members of the Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac County
Sheriff’s Department along with the Fond du Lac Police Department’s SWAT team
were at the scene. After a five-hour standoff with the suspect, officers made
entry to the residence to rescue the victim and her four children. The 25 year
old man was arrested without incident. No injuries were reported as a result of
the rescue and arrest. Also assisting at the scene was the Fond
du Lac Fire Department’s EMS.
