Man Arrested by SWAT Appears in Court

The Fond du Lac man arrested by a police SWAT team last week made an initial court appearance Thursday. 42-year old Desmond Hicks faces two counts of substantial battery related to domestic abuse, along with a count of disorderly conduct. Hicks is also expected to face charges related to a burglary at Whealon Towing last month. Investigators believe he also may be connected to a number of other burglaries around the area. His bail was set at $20,000 cash. A preliminary hearing is set for August 9^th.
