Man Sentenced To Prison For Threatening To Kill Judge

A man serving a prison sentence at the Green Bay Correctional Institute has had another year added to his sentence.
Benjamin J. Biese was sentenced to one year incarceration and one year extended supervision stemming from a February 2021 incident where he sent a letter to an Outagamie County judge, threatening to have him killed.
The letter appeared to be sent from Darrick Thompson who is also an inmate at Green Bay Correctional.
The letter was handwritten and contained the following statement:
“If you do not order my brother Ben’s release. I will have the MC’s kill you.”
Through an investigation, it was learned that Biese was the person who sent the letter.
Biese has a history and long record of threatening judges. According to a criminal complaint, Biese has 20 counts of making threats to a judge dating back to 1995 and spanning over
5 counties.
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney, acted as Special Prosecutor in the case. Toney stated “I take threats of violence seriously and I will continue fighting to
protect the public and our judiciary from threats of violence.
Based on this sentence and Biese’s current custody status he is anticipated to be released in 2047.
