Man Shot And Killed By Police After High Speed Pursuit

A man that led police in Racine and Kenosha Counties was shot dead by police yesterday after crashing his car and running into a nearby field.
According to police, a Racine County Sheriff’s deputy started chasing the vehicle and it crossed into Kenosha County where the pursuit continued with Wisconsin State Patrol and Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office deputies joining the chase.
The driver reportedly crashed and fled on foot.
He was located in a nearby field holding a firearm.
Officers gave commands to drop the firearm but the man failed to do so. Law enforcement then shot the man. First aid was rendered at the scene and the person was taken to a hospital where he later died.
No law enforcement personnel were injured during the incident.
