Man Taken Into Custody After Eluding Police

Law enforcement from 3 local agencies came together to chase down and capture a man who briefly led them on a high speed pursuit.

Wednesday, October 5, 2022, just after 9:30 PM, A North Fond du Lac Police officer attempted to pull a vehicle over for speeding on Prospect Avenue.

The vehicle accelerated southbound towards the City of Fond du Lac.

The North Fond du Lac officer lost sight of the silver Saturn when it pulled into an apartment complex off of Security Drive in the City of Fond du Lac.

At this point, city police and Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies joined in the search for the driver.

The man was seen running on Scott Street near Kwik Trip and a City of Fond du Lac officer gave chase and was able to catch the man.

He was transported to SSM Health/St Agnes Hospital after complaining that he had trouble breathing.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in the apartment complex driveway.
