More than 150 students and faculty members have received the single dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as Marian University and Agnesian HealthCare, a member of SSM Health, collaborated to host a clinic today in the in Sadoff Gymnasium.

Agnesian HealthCare team members and Marian University nursing students prepared and administered the vaccine doses throughout the day.

“It was a great opportunity for us to give back and to provide an easier opportunity for any Marian University community member having trouble obtaining the vaccine get one,” said Marian University President Dr. Michelle Majewski. “It was gratifying to see everyone come together to put on, and take advantage of, such a well-run event. Seeing the enthusiasm everyone had was remarkable, and I couldn’t be more proud of our Sabres.”

Agnesian HealthCare continues to vaccinate all eligible Wisconsinites, according to Missy Tate, Agnesian Work & Wellness director.

“The use of a mobile, on-site vaccine clinic model with large employers, like Marian University, allows us to both offer a convenient location for large groups, while maintaining our routine vaccine clinic hours across our three vaccination sites in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun,” Tate says. “We are happy to provide Marian University with this on-site vaccination clinic so that their students, faculty members and staff can continue to safely engage in its values-based education.”
