McDermott Park Ice Skating Rink Put On Hold Due To Weather

Fans of the ice skating rink usually erected in McDermott Park on Johnson Street each winter will need to wait until after the new year according to a Facebook post from the City of Fond du Lac Municipal Govt page.

According to the post, the predicted heavy snow and wind forecasted with this storm would have made for poor ice conditions so the decision was made to wait. However, long range forecasts for the Fond du Lac area show the possibilities of much above normal temperatures in the 8-14 day outlook, so the rink could possibly be
delayed even more.
