Meyer Gets Second Term As FDL City Council President
The Fond du Lac City Council unanimously elected Sam Meyer
to a second straight term as City Council President during their organizational
meeting this morning. Lee Ann Lorrigan was voted Vice President by a 5 to 1 vote
with Gary Miller getting that other vote. Lorrigan, Miller, Brian Foster and
Karyn Merkel were sworn in for new terms of office at the beginning of the
meeting following their recent re-election to the Council. As for being voted to
a second term as Council President, Meyer said, “I’m happy that fellow Council
members were good enough to allow me to lead them for one more year and I’d like
to thank them for that vote of confidence.” Meyer says he’s expecting it to be
an interesting year, but couldn’t think of any pressing issues at this
time. In the photo left to right Council members Merkel, Foster, Lorrigan and Miller.
