Most Fondy County Teams Struggle on Opening Day for HS Volleyball and Soccer

Soccer:

Kohler 4 WLA 1

Max Reinthaler had a hat trick for Kohler, scoring at 1:37, 22:21, and 41:23.  Seth Schroeder cut it to 3-1, scoring for WLA at 66:36.  Griffin Montes finished the scoring for Kohler at 75:31.
Nick Russ had 13 saves for WLA.
Comments:  Kohler sure looked great tonight.  They played very fast, aggressive and organized and they had us on our heels for most of the game.  I predict they will have a great year.  Nick Russ had some great saves for us to keep the game within reach and our sophomore midfielder Kolby Trewin had his first start and played a really good game, being involved offensively and defensively all over the field.

Volleyball:

CWC volleyball started the season going 1-2 at a home quad vs Bonduel, Mayville, and Palmyra Eagle.

Match 1 Bonduel wins 25-22, 25-17
Match 2 Mayville wins 24-26, 25-23, 15-1
Match 3 CWC wins 27-17, 25-11
Coach: We struggled defensively all day, and that impacted all other phases of the game.  We need to get a lot better, but it’s early and we still have a ways to go.  We have 6 games this weekend at the Crusader Invite.  3 games Friday and 3 games Saturday.
