Motorcycle Crash Involving Drunk Driver Injures Driver Near Dundee Wednesday Night

A 40-year-old West Bend man was flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee Wednesday night after crashing his motorcycle in the Town of Osceola, south west of Dundee.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the man was traveling north on State Highway 67 when he failed to negotiate a curve near Birchwood Drive.

Investigation into the crash showed the motorcycle crossed the centerline on 67 and entered the north ditch, before it and the driver came to a rest on Birchwood Drive.

Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Campbellsport Fire Department and Ambulance, and City of Fond du Lac Paramedics responded to the scene.

Flight for Life was also requested to transport the man to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with serious injuries.

The motorcycle driver, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. This would be the man’s fourth time arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Officers stated speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash
