Multiple People Shot On Six Flags Great America Property

Three people were injured in a shooting at the popular amusement park Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois Sunday evening.
According to the Gurnee Police Department, at 7:50 PM, the department received multiple 911 calls regarding shots fired at the theme park.
Gurnee Police Officers responded to the area and learned the suspect vehicle had fled the scene.
Based on the initial investigation, a white sedan entered the Six Flags parking lot and drove toward the front entrance where the suspects exited the vehicle and began shooting toward another individual in the parking lot.
The suspects got back in the white sedan and left the area.
Two victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 19 year-old-female from Appleton with a lower leg wound and a 17 year-old-male from Aurora, IL, with an upper thigh wound. A third victim sustained a shoulder injury but declined
transport to the hospital.
Police say the shooting was not a random act, and appeared to be a targeted incident that occurred outside the park.
The park was cleared of guests and staff for the remainder of the night while police worked the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
