Alice C. Capoyianes
Alice C. Capoyianes died on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022, at The Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Alice was born on February 11, 1932, in Grammeni Oxia, Greece, to Charles and Effee Leaskas. Alice and her family immigrated to America via Ellis Island in 1946, settling in St. Paul, Minnesota. Alice married Peter Capoyianes in 1955, in St. Paul, and together they moved to Fond du Lac. Alice enjoyed spinning her own yarn, knitting, and thrift shopping. Never having learned to drive, she was often seen walking happily about Fond du Lac. Alice was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Alice is survived by her two children Constantine (Barbara) Capoyianes of Fond du Lac and Kondelo (Harold) Cooley of North Carolina. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Peter (Alison) Capoyianes and Nick Capoyianes of Fond du Lac, Michael Ottesen of Redgranite, and Robert Ottesen of Green Bay as well as 3 great-grandchildren: George Capoyianes, Corrina Capoyianes, and Callie Ottesen; one sister-in-law, Hazel Leaskas of St. Paul Minnesota, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her four siblings. Per Alice’s wishes, a private family service will be held. May Her Memory Be Eternal.
Her family would like to thank Fond du Lac Fire Rescue, the St. Agnes Emergency Department, the staff at 5 South at St. Agnes and everyone at the Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion.
