Anthony James Fero

Anthony James Fero passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2023 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Fond du Lac, on November 7, 1956, the son of Donald and Vivian Fero. He wis survived by a sister and four brothers. They are Donna, who lives in Madison, WI, Mike, who resides in Eugene, Oregon, and Steve, Tom, and Andy, all Fond du Lac residents. He was preceded in death by another brother, Ken.

Tony was an intelligent informed and well-read man who graduated from Goodrich High School with the class of 1976. Afterwards her worked at a local warehouse and then at UW-Fond du Lac before retiring. His great passion in life was for the outdoors. He loved to hike and camp. He fished and was an avid bird watcher. Most of all he loved boating. Working on the boat he designed and constructed was a great joy to him. His extensive knowledge of local wetlands and their fauna and flora always made conversations with him thoughtful and interesting. He had a wry sense of humor that added to that!

Tony was much loved by his family and a close circle of friends. He will be very dearly missed. His family is currently discussing a memorial get-together in the spring. Contact Steve Fero for details on that.
