Barbara “Barb” A. Engen – Smith

Barbara “Barb” A. Engen – Smith, 68, passed away at her home on October 6, 2025. She was born in Fond du Lac to Richard and Patricia Engen on February 20, 1957. In her early years she moved many times across the country while her father was serving in the US Air Force.

Barb married Brad Smith on June 1, 1996.

Barb was very proud of her Native American Heritage and was an active member of the Brotherton Indian Nation. She loved her dogs and treated them as her family, Barb will be missed by her dog, “Kiwi”.

Barb is survived by her mother, Patricia Jones; brothers, Tim Giere and Shawn Giere; sister, Laurie Schnieder; and former spouse, Brad Smith.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Lee; father, Richard; and a brother, Ricky Engen.

A celebration of Barb’s life will be planned for a later date.
