Charles A. McCourt

Charles A. McCourt, age 90, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 26, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1936, in Fond du Lac, the son of Sherman and Laura (Spieckermann) McCourt. Charles was a 1954 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. He served in the United States Army from October 1955 until August of 1957. On October 31, 1959, he married Ruth Liner at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2018. He was a lifelong farmer and spent 38 years involved with the Town of Friendship including being Town Supervisor. Charles was a longtime member of Presentation Church and was very involved in numerous committees over the years. He loved his casino bus trips in his later years.

Survivors include his children, Michael (Eileen), Julie (David), John, Tom (Kim), Kate, Peter (Dori), Mary (Brian), Joe (Janene), Matt (Rose), Patty (Mike); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Horning. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; his son-in-law, Mark; three siblings.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Presentation Church, 705 Michigan Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. Visitation will take place on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum.
