Daniel J. “Beast” Richards
Daniel J. “Beast” Richards, age 66, of New Holstein, died on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at his home. He was born April 30, 1949 in West Bend, WI, son of Beverly (Kramer) Richards and the late Vernon James “Jim” Richards. Beast had retired from Kohler Company in 2010 after 25 years of service. He was a great guy who was very personable and always willing to be the first to talk; a trait which was handy during the time he operated the Tumbleweed Tap in Cascade. He was a friend of The Right A Ways motorcycle group and had been a founding member of The Choosen Few. His motorcycle was his life; his beautiful Harley Ultra Classic and he made numerous trips and countless miles together. When he wasn’t on his bike, he collected guns and knives, enjoyed going out shooting, and played pool throughout the area for Larry’s Good Time Inn and Alice’s Stress Management. Survivors include his mother: Beverly; his children: Jamie Salyers, April (Steven) Hanke, Dusin Richards; 4 grandchildren: Tyler & Jayson Salyers, Alyssa Hanke, & Andrew Richards; a sister: Linda (Jim) Goeser (Richards); and a niece and nephew: Jody (Shelly) Kujawski & Melanie Kujawski-Pfeifer. He was preceded in death by his father; and a grandchild: Steven Salyers. A time of gathering and rememberance will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (1212 Teckla Pl.) in Kiel from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. – See more at: http://www.wietingfuneralhome.com/obituaries/daniel-j-richards/#sthash.JXIgPUb0.dpuf
