Donna M. Manske
Donna M. Manske, of Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at her home. She was born November 10, 1932 in Fond du Lac to Harold and Mathilda Tautges.
Donna attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and St. Mary Springs High School. She graduated in 1950.
She married Harold C. Manske on January 20, 1951. While Harold was in the Air Force, they lived in Georgia, South Dakota, and California. They came home to Fond du Lac in 1962. When they came home, they ran a mink ranch on Hwy. 45 until 1984.
They had three children, Jeffrey, Steven and Debra.
Donna enjoyed her flower gardens, knitting and crocheting, oil painting, ceramics, and many other crafts. Donna taught oil painting and ceramics. She was very talented and artistic. While Harold was in the Air Force, she worked as a Telephone Operator on the Air Force Base. When back in Fond du Lac, Donna worked at the Fond du Lac Answering Service and Brauer’s Department Store until retirement.
Donna is survived by her husband, Harold C. Manske; her daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Manske of Fond du Lac; grandchildren: Ryan Manske of Milwaukee, Teresa (Bill) Simpson of Iowa, Jennifer Wiskow of Florida, and Justin Wiskow of Fond du Lac; a great-grandson, Seth Simpson, Donna’s brother, Donald Tautges, sisters-in-law, Carol (Bob) Lange, Janet Wigton (Dallas Hansen), Joan (Bob) Blum, and Marlene (Lew) Loberger; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; another great-grandson coming in April; and her long-time friend, Ginger (Fritz) Schultz.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mathilda Tautges; an infant son, Jeffrey; her daughter, Debra Wiskow; her son, Steven Manske; and her sister-in-law, Mary Rentmeister.
Visitation & Services: Family will receive relatives and friends at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. with a service to follow at 12:00 noon at Zacherl Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.
