Dorothy Stella Fox
Dorothy Stella Fox, 84 of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at St Francis Home, Fond du Lac. She was born in St. Anna, WI on March 2, 1929 the daughter of John P. and Rose Sabel Mayer. She married Jerome A Fox October 20, 1948. Jerry and Dorothy celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this October. Dorothy lived a full life and touched many lives with her warm personality, charisma and love for her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, music, gardening, cooking, travel and spending time with her family and friends. She was a long-time officer with the Fond du Lac Chapter of WI Right to Life. Dorothy was also a Sales Leader with the Shaklee Corporation. She was an active member of Holy Family parish in Fond du Lac, and was a scout leader for many years.
SURVIVORS: Dorothy is survived by her husband Jerry and five children; Guy (Anna) Fox, Fond du Lac; Anne (Charlie) Martin, Fond du Lac; Mary Jo (Richard) Turner, Neenah, WI; David (Vicki) Fox, Mount Lake Terrace, WA; Daniel (Judy) Fox, Appleton, WI and sixteen grandchildren; Amy Martin, Beth (Luis) Martin-Luccy, Kerry (Steve Petri) Martin, Sarah Martin, Christopher (Lindsey) Martin, Joshua (Jennifer) Fox, Rachel (Anthony) Verbrick, Jessica (Steve) Fox Ladwig, Joseph (Michelle) Fox, Jennifer (Mark) Jensky, Andrew Turner, Adam (special friend, Rachel Kaspar) Bellmer, Emily Fox, Matthew Fox, Olivia Fox, Jesse Strek, and six great grand-children, Ava and Logan, Hannah and Jack, Alex, and Aiden. Dorothy is further survived by two sisters; Alma Halleman, Florida, and Janet Novitske, Ripon, sisters-in-law, Viola Bohlman, Bernice Evenson, Mary Wagner, a brother-in-law, Elmer Fox, all of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and son-in-law, Judith (Steve) Fox-Bellmer, seven brothers and sisters; Gilbert Mayer, Stella Lefeber, Marie Lefeber, Raymond Mayer, Catherine Fox, Francis Mayer and Ernestine Fox.
Funeral Information
Visitation: The family will greet relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home on Friday November 8, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, 200 South Peters, Avenue, Fond du Lac, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial suggestions are the Fond du Lac Chapter of WI Right to Life, St Mary’s Springs Academy – Building Fund, stipends for masses or your intention.
