Frank R. Mazanka
Frank R. Mazanka, 66, passed away on May 3, 2025. He was born to the late Frank and Phyllis (Azen) Mazanka on December 4, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY.
Frank married his high school sweetheart, Jeni Raedel on April 30, 1983 in Green Bay, WI.
Those who knew Frank knew his interests and hobbies were many. While his curiosity knew no bounds and he was always hunting for adventure, his true favorite thing was having individual and different ways to bond with each of his three children. For Kara, it was building an art studio in the basement and then turning that art studio into a fully functioning indoor garden, followed by a huge outdoor garden that was their pride and joy. He coached Isaac from little league baseball through High School, and they then coached 14U together. Frank and Jadon loved watching all superhero movies and shows, they also loved searching for unique and diverse craft beers around the country. Frank always found ways to spend quality time with his kids.
In his free time, Frank loved finding new things to do and explore. An avid camper and true outdoorsman, weekend retreats often turned into “how little can we bring with us and make it through without tapping out.” Frank was also a “professional” Packers fan and an expert tailgater. He brought the party with his custom tailgating ambulance, “The Lambeaulance”, his large inflatable players, and even goalposts attached to the bed of his truck. Everyone was welcome. These things truly embodied who Frank was. Shared by his children and their friends, his nieces and nephews, and his in-laws, experiences like these allowed Frank to pass down not only advice to survive in the outdoors, but life all the same. Conversations were often full of ways to overcome life’s many obstacles, using real world experiences and even jokes based on songs he loved to listen to. Frank was never someone to turn away a neighbor or friend in need, and he instilled that trait in many that he interacted with.
Frank was able to retire last year and enjoyed his time being Papa to his two precious granddaughters. Being a Papa was his favorite job.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Jeni, daughter Kara (Ryan) Kiefer, sons Isaac (Taylor) and Jadon; grandchildren Aria Kiefer and Blayke Mazanka and brother Jerry (Kim) Mazanka. Frank was also blessed with brothers and sisters by marriage: Eric Raedel, Athena (Eric) Steffenhagen, Alicia (Ted) Parins, Christopher (Joy) Blount, Joshua (Jasmina) Blount, Elisabeth Almeida, Christina (Keith) McCutcheon, Deanna (Mike) Milliken, as well as beloved nieces and nephews, many of whom Frank mentored and treated like his own children.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister Cindy Mazanka.
A private funeral service will take place.
