Genevieve “Gen” A. Sullivan
Genevieve “Gen” A. Sullivan of Fond du Lac, has completed her earthly journey, and passed on from this life on October 29, 2022.
The daughter of Arthur R. and Margaret (Roble) Sullivan, Gen was born on May 24, 1925 in Fond du Lac, where she grew up along with her nine siblings. After attending Jefferson School and St. Joseph’s Parochial school, she graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy in June, 1942.
An active parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Community, Gen served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and as a volunteer and former member of the Mission Quilting Group. She also served as a volunteer with Agnesian Hospice Program.
Gen is survived by a brother, John R. (Judith) of Henderson, Nevada; sisters-in-law Peggy Sieversen Sullivan of Wauwatosa, WI, Patricia Arnold Sullivan of Fond du Lac, WI, and Mary Koss Sullivan of Westfield, IN; godchildren Mary Jo Skinner of Noblesville, IN, Patrick K. Prochnow of Depere, WI, Brian J. (Mariah) Sullivan of Champaign, IL, Colleen (Mark) Nowak of Coal Center, PN, and Amy Collins of Madison, WI; Terry Sullivan of Fond du Lac and Ellen Sullivan Zyvoloski of Raleigh, NC, for whom she was Confirmation sponsor; as well as many more beloved nieces and nephews who brought so much joy into her life, and the Reiland family to whom she was “special aunt Gen”, and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and godparents, Margaret Lynch and John Lynch, Gen was preceded in death by four sisters and their spouses, Margaret M. (John) Thurman, Helen L. (Jerome) Shank, Dorothy I. (Gordon) Prochnow, and Catherine Ann (Eugene) Kocs; four brothers Raymond J. (Elaine) Sullivan, Thomas R. Sullivan, David A. Sullivan, and Frank A. (Mary) Sullivan; nephews Brendan Michael Sullivan and Peter Kevin Sullivan; niece Mary Rita Sullivan; great nieces Lisa Catherine Papke and Sarah Jean Sullivan and her nephew’s wife Heidi A. (Kaufman) Prochnow.
Gen’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery following the Mass.
No flowers or gifts at Gen’s request but if you wish to donate, please give a gift directly to Holy Family Catholic Church, Society of the Little Flower, Columbian Fathers, or the Hospice Home of Hope.
