Gerald P. Klemens
Gerald P. Klemens, 78, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home in Fond du Lac with his loved ones by his side. He was born on December 18, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, to Jerome and Mary Klemens.
Jerry served in the US Army as a paratrooper from September 4, 1962 to September 3, 1965. He served in the Peace Corp in Western Samoa. He worked majority of his career as a Union Carpenter and worked for the DNR before moving to Fond du Lac in 2006.
Jerry loved riding his motorcycle. He also loved horseback riding; taking 8 different tours out West on the “Outlaw Trail.” He enjoyed woodworking and reading western history books. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the American Legion Riders and American Legion Post 156.
Gerald is survived by his faithful, loving companion, Linda Clark; his sister, Donna Mae Kind; his brother, Dale Klemens; Linda’s children: Bekki Clark and her daughter, Cailey; Amy Clark and her sons, Gary and Braden and Christopher’s children, Sydney and Jase; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Mary Klemens and Linda’s son, Christopher Clark.
Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 4:00 to 4:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street in Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 5:00 PM following the visitation. Military Honors will take place. Burial will be in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Union Grove privately.
Memorial donations can be made in Gerald’s name to the Disabled American Veterans.
