Irene M. Roehl

Irene M. Roehl, 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

She was born on December 18, 1926, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Clarence and Malinda Wurtzel Mietzelfeldt. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School, Class of 1945. On May 27, 1950, she married Leo W. Roehl, at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.

Prior to marriage, Irene was employed as a beautician, and later became a homemaker. Irene was a lifelong member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. She liked the Brewers, reading, knitting, crocheting and puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters: Sue (Bernard) Hagen, Janice (Robert) Fauska and JoAnn Roehl all of Fond du Lac; five grandsons: Greg and Daniel (Rachael) Hagen, Brian, Keith (Heather), and Mark Fauska; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo on October 1, 2009, sisters: Lorraine Mietzelfeldt and Joyce (George) Grenier; and other relatives and friends.

VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 11:00 – 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, with Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Burial at Estabrooks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.
