James F. Prindiville
James Francis Prindiville, 83, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, August 31st at the Liberty House Assisted Living Center in Fond du Lac.
James was born on September 13, 1934, in Fond du Lac to James and Frances (Smith) Prindiville. He attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and graduated from St. Mary’s Springs Academy Class of 1952. Following high school, he received his journeyman machinist certificate from the Fond du Lac Technical Institute.
James married Gail Podeweltz at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on June 29, 1957.
He worked for Giddings and Lewis for over 40 years.
James primarily enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially watching their sporting activities. James also enjoyed hunting, tennis, golf, baseball, playing cards and traveling with his wife Gail. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
James is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gail; three children, James (Diane) Prindiville, of Phoenix AZ, Timothy (Stephanie) Prindiville, of Scottsdale AZ, Jane (Timothy) Vogel, of Germantown WI; sister, Patricia (David) Wigton, of Sun Lakes AZ; sister-in-law, Wanda Podeweltz, Oakridge TN; brother-in-law, Larry (Sharon) Podeweltz, Brownwood TX; sister-in-law, Susan (Frank) Giebel, of Wausau WI; six grandchildren, Tara, Daniel, Alyssa, Kyle, Carly, and Conor. James is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Carl Podeweltz.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church from 9:00-10:45 a.m., 271 Fourth Street Way, followed by a memorial mass celebrating his life at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
