James J. Stroh

James J. Stroh, 88, of Eden passed away on August 5, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Jim was born on July 16, 1933, a son of Joseph and Selma Stroh.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On July 20, 1955 he married Joan Schmidt in Dickinson, ND. They moved to Ft. Gordon, GA until Jim was honorably discharged and subsequently, moved to Wisconsin. He worked at Mercury Marine for 33 years, retiring as a general foreman.

He was a member of the Lions Club. Jim and Joan enjoyed their time on the snowmobile and being part of the Eden Ruff Riders Club. He loved the Brewers and Packers.

After Joan’s passing in 2008, Jim married Sandra Justman on September 29, 2011.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sandra; three daughters, Debra Braun of Fond du Lac, Renee (Bob) Chyba of Dundee and Carla (John) Peplinski of Kewaskum; grandchildren, Miranda (Craig) Amerling of Kewaskum, James (Hailey) Wiesner of Campbellsport, and Andrea Wiesner of Campbellsport; great-grandchildren, Mason and Reid Amerling, Natalie Wolf, Titus and Ezra Wiesner; a step-son, three step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Joan; sister, Pauline Schmidt; brothers, Jack, Theodore, Adam, Andrew, Edward, Joseph and George; and their parents, Joseph and Selma.

Services: Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service is planned for Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
