James R. Beck

James R. “Jim” Beck, age 64, of Chilton, died on March 2, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born April 11, 1957, son of the late William Beck and Yvonne Fescourt.
Jim was proud of having his CDL and loved driving his cement truck. He did amazing stone work both in landscaping and inside people’s homes. His passions were felt outdoors through camping, hunting, and fishing, especially sturgeon spearing. He had his favorite hunting trips with his daughter, April, when they would sit in his hunting blind, telling stories and laughing, and letting the deer pass because they didn’t want to do the work after they got one. Jim was a great man with a huge heart, willing to do anything for anyone that needed a hand. He was an amazing storyteller with a voice that filled the room, and certainly had a sense of humor. He liked time spent with family and dressed as Santa every year for the younger generation of his family.
Loved by many, Jim will be greatly missed by his fiancee, Carol Gauger; his daughter: April Beck; his grandson: Logan James Beck-Fagg; sisters: Jeanette (Ken) Pingel, Rose (Tony) Heimerl, and Cindy (Dennis) Voigt; nieces and nephews: Becky, Tracy, Stacy, DJ “Bear”, Angel, Josie, Heather, and Holly; a dear friend and caretaker: Deanna Amel and her daughter, Brianna Reinke; and the pug he loved: Nala.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents: William Beck and Yvonne Fescourt; and siblings: Betty Elliott and Roger Beck.
Following Jim’s wishes, the family will hold a Celebration of Life from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Calumet County Park at the lodge near the ski hill. There will be a potluck meal and please bring a cooler with beverages of your choice.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of James Beck. Cards and memorials can be sent to the Wieting Family Funeral Home c/o James Beck 411 W. Main St. Chilton, WI 53014
