Jane R. Majeska

Jane R. Majeska, 102, a resident of St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac, passed away on February 3, 2026.

She was born December 25, 1923 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of the late Addis E. and Ruth (McGalloway) Costello.

On August 24, 1949 she married Ben J. Majeska Jr. at St. Joseph’s Church in Fond du Lac.

Jane was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School and the St. Agnes School of Nursing. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Y.M.C.A.

Survivors include two sons, James Majeska of Fond du Lac, and John D. Majeska of Fond du Lac, two daughters, Ann (Steve) O’Connell of Milwaukee, and Barbara (Don) Becker of Elkhorn, WI, eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Sister Ruth Mary, brother and sister in-law Stan Ericksen and Loretta Costello as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ben, one granddaughter, brothers Addis (Mary Lou), George (Helen), Pete, Fr. Timon, and Pat (Marian), and sisters Mary, Ellen and Doris (Joe).

Private family services will be held.

The Majeska family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at St. Francis Home and SSM Hospice for their kindness and extraordinary care.

Memorials in her name may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Community, the YMCA, or St. Mary’s Springs Academy.
