Jason R. Schneider
Jason R. Schneider, age 45, died on September 6, 2022. He was born April 6, 1977, son of Ken and Debbie (Redig) Schneider. He attending Trinity Lutheran School, Rantoul, graduated Chilton High School in 1995, and graduated from Concordia University in Mequon in 1999.
Growing up on a farm, he was found spending countless hours with his grandfather, going to Equity, hauling cattle, convincing his sisters to do his farm chores, driving tractor and ATV, and doing what he could to help out. After his chores were finished, he loved to sit and listen to his grandma read him his favorite book, “Fraidy Cat”, over and over again.
Many years and memories he had, hunting and fishing with his dad. He had a sharp shot and was very successful. There was always competition with his mom during sturgeon fishing, who was going to get one and who’s fish was going to be the biggest. He would fit in at any table of Sheepshead or Texas Hold ‘em, but loved the countless hours sitting around the kitchen table with his family and friends playing cards. And when he cooked….you weren’t going away hungry.
Taking up a knack for fishing he started entering in several fishing tournaments throughout the years. His fishings buddies and he made many memories and most of the time went home empty handed. Recent years he upgraded his fishing boat experience to fishing King Salmon on Lake Michigan. He loved being on the water and found peace and happiness while there. He cherished the memories he had when his kids came out on the boat with him where they could be in a happy place.
As a man of many talents, Jason had a great sense of humor and could talk to anyone. He sang for many weddings and events. He had a voice that echoed and was heard throughout the room and was able to move people’s emotion to love and appreciate God’s Grace to all of us, especially his mom and dad.
Jason had the heart of servant who went out of his way to help others and lighten the burdens and bring joy in to their lives. He served in numerous jobs over the years and, no matter where he found himself, he seemed to be able to gently lead people where they needed to find themselves. This was most evident when Jason was given the opportunity to serve people and his community, especially when he was able to operate Schneider Family Funeral Home, in Plymouth.
Jason’s personality and smile will be missed by many.
