John F. Miller
John F. Miller, age 86, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 19, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the son of John and Olga (Blumke) Miller. John served in the United States Army Reserves. On May 8, 1954, he married Audré M. Balthazor at St. Patrick’s Church in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2010. He was a member of Church of Our Saviour, Eagles Aerie 75, 84th Division 334th Regt, Combat Engineers 291st Eng. Co. B, and the Red Arrow Division. He loved to fish, enjoyed antique cars, and loved all Wisconsin sports.
Survivors include four children, Steven (Ginny) Miller of Fond du Lac, Gisele “Gigi” (Terry) Burnett of Fond du Lac, Julie (Kurt) Kreisman of Darboy, Patricia “Patti” (Eric) Eggers of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Jungwirth of Wautoma, Joyce (Bill) McMillian of Oshkosh; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; great-granddaughter, Hazel Grace; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Clochesy, Larry Jungwirth, and Glenn Singleton; sister-in-law, June Singleton.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 3-7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Church of Our Saviour, 363 S. Main St, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Visitation will take place at church on Thursday at 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Rienzi Cemetery. Military graveside honors will take place at the cemetery.
