Kenneth “Kenny” R. Manthei

Kenneth “Kenny” R. Manthei, 62, of Fond du Lac formerly of Princeton, WI passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on June 6, 2013 following a brief illness.

He was born September 9, 1950 in Berlin, WI, a son of Howard and Martha (Deal) Manthei.

On July 24, 2000 Kenneth married Terri L. Schabel at the home of his daughter in Iron River, MI.

Ken attended Princeton High School, following graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps serving two years in Vietnam. Ken retired after 25 years with the Waupun Correctional Institution as a Correctional Sergeant. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Terri, his daughter Tricia (Brian) Larson, son Eric; three step-sons, Bryan Schabel, Jack (Kelli) Schabel and Joseph Schabel; six grandchildren, Mason, Seth, Brianna, Gage, Trent and Jadyn; two brothers, Stuart (Sue) Manthei and James (Bonnie) Manthei; two brothers-in-law, John (Dawn) Sabel and Thomas (Coy) Sabel and sister-in-law Mary Jo Strong. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Ken in death are his parents and grandparents.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
