Kristine Ashmus

Kristine Ashmus, 66, passed away on October 13, 2025, at her home with her husband, Mark by her side, after a five-year courageous battle with COPD. Kris was born on July 19, 1959, to her parents Francis and Patricia (Michels) Kehrmeyer. She graduated from Waupun High School, class of 1977. Kris met Mark Ashmus while attending Gateway Tech, while studying horticulture.

Kris married Mark Ashmus on June 27, 1981, at St. Mary Church in Fond du Lac. They recently celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Kris enjoyed over 30 years of being a florist and office manager at Haentze Floral in Fond du Lac. Following Haentze, she worked for Wright Brother’s Paper Box Company. She then went on to Oshkosh Truck, where she retired from.

Kris and Mark did everything together; camping, fishing, and traveling. She was the life of the party, outgoing and had a fun-loving attitude towards life. She made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed attending Packer and Brewer games. Kris loved tending to her flowers and plants. She took great pride in decorating her home.

Kris is survived by her husband, Mark; a daughter, Mia Ashmus (Tony Looney); grandchildren, Kenzo and Miyuki; brothers, Gary (Iris) Kehrmeyer and Bob (Lynette) Kehrmeyer; sister-in-law, Donna Kehrmeyer; other relatives and many friends. She is further survived by her fur babies, Calvin, Hobbs and Freida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy Kehrmeyer.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth St Way, Fond du Lac, WI, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM.
