Lynn R. Davis
Lynn R. Davis, 69, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Lynn was born September 7, 1947 in Clinton, IA the oldest son of Virgil and Mary Kedley Davis. Lynn served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. Upon his discharge he attended University of Wisconsin-Platteville and graduated with a bachelor of science degree. There he met and married his wife, Nancy Handell. Lynn was employed by CESA 6, Oshkosh, WI as the financial administrator and retired after 32 years. Lynn loved his family and spending time with them. He was an avid golfer, bowler, gardener, card player, and fisherman. He loved watching his grandchildren play hockey, football, and baseball. He also loved watching the Bears and Cubs on TV and attended many of these games with his son and grandsons. Lynn was a member of the Waupun American Legion Post #210 and Boys and Girls Club.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy; two children: Matt Davis (Alison) of Fond du Lac, and Mindy Davis of Madison; six grandchildren: Brooke Davis, Brittany Davis Kunes (Mike), Logan DeMaa, Emilee Davis, Caden DeMaa, and Payton Davis; a great-grandson, Lincoln Kunes; his mother, Mary Davis of Delmar, IA; four brothers and two sisters: Mike Davis (Lisa), Scott Davis (Suzi), Richard Davis, Steven Davis, Loretta Thein (Tom), and Diane McKenrich (Steve); and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Davis.
Funeral services for Lynn Davis will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wisconsin Parkinson Association (2819 W Highland Blvd. Milwaukee WI 53208) or to Hospice Home of Hope (400 County Road K Fond du Lac WI 54937).
