Marjorie S. Schein
Marge was born to her parents William and Margaret (Halter) Freund on March 4, 1938. Marge lived in her hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin never straying too far except to travel. She met her husband Owen Stockstad at Goodrich high school and they raised seven children with love and devotion.
Marge was a full-time Mom and worked several part-time jobs including the downtown JC Penney’s, Osco Drug, Miles Kimball, Fondy Trophy, and retiring from Moraine Park Technical College. She always had a smile for everyone she met.
Marge’s favorite saying was “Well Why Not” and said it often to express her willingness to have a party. She enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a longtime member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, the FDL Boat Club, and the FDL Yacht Club including the Nauti Gals.
Marge is survived by children, Sandy and (Dale) Hermann, Wendy and (Mike) Sampson, Patty Miscvicz, Steve and (Mari) Stockstad, Mike and (Ellen) Stockstad, Stacey and (Arnie) Wiegert.
Marge is further survived by her sister, Rosemary DeRusha and brother John and (Sue) Freund, grandchildren Brian (Kim) Langolf, Kevin (Sue) Langolf, Scott (Caryn) Langolf, Corey Sampson, Joel (Melissa) Sampson, Lisa Miscvicz, Jessie (Dave) Bruss, Joseph Miscvicz, Katie Miscvicz, Eric Stockstad, Jason Stockstad, Rick (MariClaudia) Eckardt, Vanessa (Jonathan) Eckardt Arias, Andrew Stockstad, and Kaitlyn Stockstad.
Marge also has 13 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents William and Margaret Freund, husbands Owen Stockstad and Jack Schein, son Jeff Stockstad, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth (Delores) Freund, brother-in-law Ron DeRusha and son-in-law-Dan Miscvicz.
Marge’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation to her friend and neighbor Linda Mand who was a special friend during the impacts of Alzheimer’s. The family is also thankful to Touchstone Living Center in North Fond du Lac for their care of Marjorie.

SERVICES: Marge’s family invites relatives and friends for a time of visitation at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street, Fond du lac on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Marge’s Life will continue at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Due to the current pandemic, masks will be required and social distancing encouraged.
