Marlene R. Mossong

Marlene R. Mossong, 89, of Fond du Lac, passed away at Residence by Rennes Memory Care Center on April 15, 2025. She is now at peace with Arnie. She was born September 23, 1935, in Fond du Lac to Joseph and Luella Treleven.

On March 2, 1957, she married Arnold N. Mossong at St. Joseph’s Church, Fond du Lac.

She was a graduate of L.P Goodrich High School. Puzzles, gardening, cards, and bowling were her favorite activities. Cleaning the house was the most exercise that she chose to do. She was a member of the Fond du Lac Holy Family Catholic Community. Marlene and Arnie enjoyed many friends, family and social activities.

Marlene is survived by her son, Brian (Diane) Mossong of Windsor, CO, daughters, Debbie (Mike Ballard) Mossong of Sturgeon Bay, Karen (Paul) Snider of DePere, and Amy (Rod) Ottens of Green Bay; 11 grandchildren, Brittany and Randy (Kelsey) Mossong, Alex Mossong, Ryan and Justin Ballard, Jordan (Nate) Seitz, Nickolas (Christina) Snider, Michael (Emily) Snider and Matthew (Jasmine) Snider, Gabriela (Nathan) Knutson and Alexa Ottens; and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, David (Mary) Treleven, of Milwaukee and sisters-in-law, Delores Treleven and Joan Schilke; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her loving husband Arnold; siblings, Gladys Treleven, Harold (Edna) Treleven, Leo (Theresa, Ruth) Treleven, Patricia (Harry) Dehnel, Doris (Melvin) Benedict, Donna (Llyod) Diltz, and Milbert Treleven.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E Division St, Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be given to Residence by Rennes of DePere. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the awesome staff at the Residence by Rennes, for loving and caring for Mar.
