Mary C. Schroeder

Mary C. Schroeder, 88, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died on 

Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born September 2, 1927, in Waupun, the daughter of Ralph and Esther Yanke Crain. Mary was a 1945 graduate of Waupun High School. On August 9, 1953, she married George “Howie” Schroeder at St. Patrick’s Church. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1982. Mary loved to travel, listen to records, and sing karaoke with her family. She was one in a million.



Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kathy (Kevin) Wondrash and their children, Alexandria and Stephanie Wondrash, Pat (Carol) Crain, Jodi (Brad) 

Davis, Kathy Kay (Thomas) Hendricks, Steve Crain, Chris (Shay) Sturgis, MaryBeth Crain, Tom Crain, Tim Crain; sisters-in-law, Frances and Helen Crain. She is further survived by great nieces and nephews, Carrie and Brett Crain, Kayla Oleskow, Janelle Hendricks, Gabrielle Crain, Zach and Hannah Crawford, Drew Davis, and Ava and Charlotte Crain. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Virginia and Patricia Crain, brothers, Robert, Flip, Dewey, Dick, Jim Crain, three nephews, Don Crain, Corey Crain and Marcus Crain, and three 

Sisters-in-law, Margo Crain, June Crain, and Mickey Crain.



Visitation for Mary C. Schroeder will be on Monday, May 9, 2016, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word services will be at 7 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment of cremated remains will be in Calvary Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
