Michael C. Stommel

Michael C. Stommel, 59, of Fond du Lac went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Manorcare Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. He was born in Hartford on March 27, 1957, the son of Claude and Frieda (nee Wondra) Stommel. He was a 1976 graduate of Campbellsport High School. Mike worked on the Henry Guell Farm, at the Mayville Canning Factory and then at Mercury Marine. He greatly enjoyed his time on the farm. He also enjoyed deer hunting, country music, playing cards (Kings Corner and 21), word search, tractors and farm animals. Most of all Mike loved the time spent with his family especially his many nieces and nephews. 



Survivors include his siblings Donald (Jan) Stommel of Rubicon, Betty (Raymond) Schmidt of Allenton, Marie (Terry) Polnow of Fond du Lac, Ronald (Margie) Stommel of Theresa, Elaine (Clemens) Feucht of Fond du Lac, James (Sandra) Stommel of Rubicon, RoseAnn (Joseph) Ritger of Allenton, Glenn (Joann) Stommel of Beaver Dam and John (Sharon) Stommel of Eden, many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. 



Mike was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Frieda, his brother Arnold, Arnold’s wife Vivian and his niece Annette Stommel. 



A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 12th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and Entombment will be Friday Jan. 13th at 1:00 PM in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. 



Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 12th from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home in Campbellsport. 



In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
