Michael P. Juckem

Michael P Juckem, age 69, of Chilton passed away suddenly March 12, 2020 at his home in Chilton. He was born March 30, 1950 Son of the late George and Ellen (Leonhard) Juckem. He attended St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from Chilton High School class of 1969.

Mike worked and farmed on the Juckem family homestead all of his life and was still driving tractor for hay wagon rides at Polly’s Pumpkin Patch on the family homestead.

Mike also worked at Professional Plating in Brillion Wisconsin where he was recognized  upon his retirement for never missing a day of work. He was a hard-working and honest person.

Mike had a strong faith in the Lord, and was a good example to everyone around him.  He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, was an active member of the Chilton Eagles Club and was a life long member of Catholic Financial Life.   He also enjoyed trap shooting for many years with his friends at East Shore Sportsmen’s club and enjoyed time spent snowmobiling in his younger years.

Mike will be remembered for his outstanding ability to remember dates and facts for pretty much everything. He was the family “go to ” person if there was a need to remember a date or an important family event. He was the family “historian” who had a love for cars and trucks. Mike could recall how many miles you had on your car from the last time he saw you in that particular vehicle. He never missed family functions because family was so important to him and his love of family and animals were apparent to anyone who knew him.

He will always have a special place in the hearts of his brothers, sisters , nieces and nephews because of his kindness and devotion to them. His humorous personality would always bring a smile to the faces around him, even when someone would be having a bad day.

Survivors include his brothers and sister: Paul (JoAnne) Juckem, Ruth (Dale) Maradei, MarJean (Dan) Hedrich, Mark Juckem, Gary (Polly) Juckem; a niece and God-Daughter: Samantha (Brock); additional nieces and nephews: Patrick (Elissa), Christopher (Carrie), Daniel (Caley), Jacob (Crystal), & Stephanie; his great nieces and great nephews; his step father: Harry Sturtz; step-sister: Lisa (John) Schwarz and step-brother: Larry Sturtz.
