Patricia Frances (Hart) Meulemans

Patricia Frances (Hart) Meulemans began eternal life Thursday, May 29, 2025, at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Patricia “Pat” was 85.

Pat was the second oldest of four “farmer’s daughters.” She was born and raised on a very Irish farm in very Irish Askeaton, Wisconsin, which is in Southern Brown County just East of Green Leaf / Wrightstown on Hwy 57.

Pat married Arlyn “Cy” F. Meulemans of Wrightstown at St. Patrick’s Parish, Askeaton, in 1960.

After graduating from Wrightstown High School in 1957, Pat moved to Green Bay to begin a career in Healthcare Administration. In 1960, Arlyn was presented a great opportunity with Hansen Machinery / Hansen Refrigeration and they began an exciting new journey in Fond du Lac.

In Fond du Lac, Pat continued her career in Healthcare Administration, but when literally “My Three Sons” quickly came along, Pat shifted to elementary education. She became an Administrative Assistant / Teacher’s Aid and volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish and School, as well as St. Mary’s Springs High School.

Pat’s most important and beloved “job” was being a great mother and housewife.

Pat did have a stint in Logistics Support for Schwan’s Home Delivery, mostly because of discounts on pizza, ice cream and juice for her boys.

Pat did go back to healthcare to close out her career and worked with an incredible team managing and active in fundraising for Agnesian’s Family Resource Center / Pregnancy Hotline.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Arlyn “Cy” in 2002 and her firstborn son, Thomas M. (Tom) of Fond du Lac in 2013. Pat is survived by sons Terry (Nancy) of Fond du Lac and Steve (Lesa) of New Berlin. Since the grandchildren were babies, Pat was called “Grandma Honey,” derived from the “Hi! Honey” greeting from phone calls. Grandma Honey is survived by three grandchildren Matt Putz of Atlanta, GA; Lauren Dinse (Matt) of Oshkosh; Marisa Meulemans (Tyler) of New Berlin and their son, Giovanni, Grandma Honey’s 18-month-old great-grandson.

Pat is further survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Phyllis (Hart) Hoogland (Jim, deceased) of Ashwaubenon; Vern and Karen (Hart) Demerath of Wrightstown and Don and Noreen (Hart) Van Zeeland of Kaukauna. And survived by sisters-in-law, Dorothy Biese (Mel, deceased) of Kimberly; Pearl Meulemans (Ken, deceased) of Denver, Colorado; Doris Meulemans (Gerald, deceased) of West Bend and Bonnie Meulemans (Roy, deceased) of Menomonee Falls. Pat was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Vince Meulemans of Texas and Donald Meulemans (Rosemary, deceased) of Wrightstown.

Other survivors include many special nieces; nephews; great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, John F and Agnes F (Giesbers) Hart of Askeaton and Wrightstown.

Arlyn and Pat first belonged to Sacred Heart Parish and then Holy Family Parish / Sacred Heart Church. Arlyn and Pat were members of the Holy Name Society. Pat was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Sacred Heart / Holy Family Faith Builders.

Pat loved being around family and friends, especially at Christmas with all her Hallmark Ornaments.

A special shout out to St. Francis Home, and Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Home of Hope and all “Miss Pat’s” incredibly wonderful, and caring team of doctors, nurses, CNAs, caregivers and ALL teams, including Activities, Support, Foodservice, Housekeeping and Management. St. Francis is a home made up of special people.

Another special shout out to all of Pat’s St. Francis friends who made her experience meaningful, engaged and fun. Great experiences and memories are now embedded in all of us for eternity, including Pat’s “vintage” and “legacy” friends and family since 1939. Mom’s final days / weeks were powerful. Her classic Irish stubbornness was on display, waiting for that one last story which kept coming. Forcing God to finally say, “OK, Pat…whew!…it’s time….Arlyn and Tom are waiting.”

Pat’s Celebration of Life will be held at near and dear Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E Division St, Fond du Lac, Saturday, June 14, 2025. Visitation from 10AM-12PM with a Celebration of Life from 12-1 PM.

Entombment alongside her Arlyn and Tom will be Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1PM in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.

In lieu of flowers, people may make a donation to their favorite charity in Pat’s name or Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
