Patricia (Pat) Ann Duley (nee Hess)
Patricia (Pat) Ann Duley (nee Hess) 77 passed
away into the hands of the Lord at her home on Sunday July 12, 2015, after a courageous
battle with cancer. Her loving family was at her side as angels led her heaven.
She was born January 6, 1938 in Fond du Lac, the
daughter of LeRoy and Lucille (Adler) Hess.
She attended St. Patrick’s grade school. She was very proud to be a 1956 graduate of
St. Mary’s Springs Academy and loved planning all of their class reunions. An annual highlight for her was attending the
Academy girl’s luncheon.
She married Jim Duley on July 15, 1961 at St.
Patrick’s Church and they would have celebrated their 54th Anniversary on
Wednesday. Pat worked at the Fond du Lac
Clinic and St. Agnes Hospital as a switch board operator until retirement. Pat truly loved to serve in any way she could
and never wanted to say no. She was an
active volunteer for Hospice for many years which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic
Community and volunteered in the church office and on the bereavement committee. She
also provided meals for Loaves and Fishes for over 20 years.
Pat was a beloved wife of Jim and her life
was fulfilled by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved
cooking, baking, and entertaining. One
of Pat’s passions was carrying on the 70 year old family tradition of making
cut out Christmas cookies. The family
gathers together in early December to bake over 5,000 cookies to share with
family and friends. Pat was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and season ticket
holder for over 50 years.
Pat is survived by her husband Jim and four children:
son Michael (Monica) grandchildren, Morgan and Mitchell; daughter Lisa (John)
Pawlowski, grandchildren Christopher, Meredith, Briana and Connor; daughter
Kathryn (Robert) Teofilo, grandchildren Joshua (Elizabeth) Nett, Justin, Jasmyn
and Julianna Nett, Trisha (Ricardo) Teofilo-Olave, Bridget Teofilo, Bob
(Lisa)Teofilo, Tina Teofilo, Corina (Eric) Mattson and great-grandchildren
Anja, Marco, and Oliver Mattson; son Timothy (Victoria) granddaughter Ahriana. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy
and Lucille Hess; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Marie Duley and many other
family members.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Zacherl Funeral Home,
from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Friday at Holy Family
Parish Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.
Services: A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday July 17, 2015
at Holy Family Parish Church. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen
Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
