Phyllis VanderBosch

Phyllis VanderBosch, 88, of Waupun died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home.

 

Phyllis was born February 3, 1925 in Waupun the daughter of Wesley and Ethel Bruins Loomans.  Phyllis loved the farming community and appreciated and loved living on the farm.  She was employed by The Christian Home as a CNA for over 25 years.  Phyllis had a strong faith, was a member of Alto Reformed Church, and participated in and led many church activities. She thoroughly enjoyed her family and always put them before anything and everyone else.  She enjoyed traveling to see her daughters in Minnesota and Arizona.

 

Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Rose (Lance) Hoerig of Camp Verde, AZ and Gwen (Don) Kowalsky of Mound, MN; grandchildren, Leslie (Dusty Posthuma) Schepp-Ganske and Julius Kowalsky; great-grandchildren, Norah and Genevieve Ganske; brother-in-law, Oscar Sell; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Harold; her sisters, Helen Sell and Lorraine Lewis; brothers-in-law, Leonard Lewis, Alfred Loomans, and Lester VanderBosch; sisters-in-law Gladys Loomans and Kathryn VanderBosch; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ellis and Elizabeth VanderBosch.

 

Funeral services for Phyllis VanderBosch will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Medema and Rev. Ted Lindman officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.  Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
