Richard H. Schuff
Richard H. Schuff, 86, of North
Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.
He was born on May 21, 1929,
in Oshkosh, a son of Henry and Margaret Hannes Schuff. He graduated from Oshkosh High School and
served a four year metal patternmaker apprenticeship with Diamond Patternworks.
Richard served with the
United States Army Reserve National Guard from June 23, 1948 to June 22, 1957.
On November 8, 1958, he
married Gloria M. Paulick at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Oshkosh.
Richard was a member of Hope
Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. He was
employed with Mercury Marine. He enjoyed
traveling, golfing, and bowling. In
later years, he continued to enjoy spending time with his family and his weekly
Monday morning breakfasts with church friends.
He is survived by six
children: Richard G. (Mary) Schuff of
Franklin, Tennessee, Randall J. (Joanna) Schuff of Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin,
Vicki L. Selenka of Oshkosh, Steven R. (Denise) Schuff of Fond du Lac, Lori L.
(Deane) Schreiber of Alpine, Texas, and Melissa S. (Michael) Kirchoff of
Oshkosh; a son-in-law, Gregory Selenka of Oshkosh; 20 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; a brother, LeRoy (Darlene) Schuff; and three sisters: Janet (Arlyn) Rose, Karen (Ron) Davey, and
Judy Pechman.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; his first wife, Eleanor; his wife, Gloria, on September 16, 2008;
two daughters: Julie A. Schuff and Mary
L. Selenka; and a sister, Sandra Blank.
The funeral service will be
held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church, 260
Vincent Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. John Fuchs officiating.
The visitation will be on Saturday
at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Cremation will take place
following the service and burial will be held at a later date at Lakeview
Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
