Rosemary E. “Rose” Schneider
Rosemary E. “Rose” Schneider, 78, formerly of St. Peter, WI. and a resident of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday October 23, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 12, 1935 in Milwaukee the daughter of Joseph and Irene Buechel Rahmer. On August 29, 1954 she married Alphonse Schmitz in St. Cloud. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1957. On August 9, 1958 she married Ottie A. Schneider in St. Peter; he preceded her in death on June17, 2012. Rose was employed with Tolibia Cheese for seventeen years and later for Pump and Pantry for nine years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Peter Church in St. Peter, Christian Mothers, Legion Auxiliary Abler Engel Post #454, Fond du Lac Eagles Women’s Auxiliary F.O.E. 270, Eagles Anglers and the Fond du Lac Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, bowling, camping, traveling, Brewers and Packers. Rose enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.
Surviving are four sons, Jerry (Roberta) Schmitz of St. Peter, Michael (Cheryl) Schneider of Oshkosh, Bruce (Renee) Schneider of Green Lake, and Dennis (Karen) Schneider of Fond du Lac, three daughters, Sharon (Ray) Loehr of Campbellsport, Lynn Schneider of Pewaukee, and Karen (Paul) Nelson of Lena, 15 grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen) Schmitz, Krystle Schmitz, Jordan (Anna) Loehr, Amy Loehr, Monica Schneider, Michelle Fletcher, Nicholas (Brenda) Schneider ,Zachary (Katherine) Schneider, Erin Schneider, Wendy (Travis) Kochanowski, Rachel Schneider, Drew Schneider, Graham Nelson, Amber (Anthony) Burke, and Kayla Osmond, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is further survived by four brothers, Donald (Virginia) Rahmer, John, James, and Joseph Rahmer, six sisters; Jean Resop, Doris (Joseph) Kapellen, Rita Lackas, Patricia (Joe) Simon, Carol (Richard) Laudoff, and Margie (Jack) Bera.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and one brother George Rahmer.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday October 25, 2013 from 1 to 4 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 5 to 6 pm at St. Peters, Catholic Church in St. Peter, WI. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church at 6 pm. Entombment will be held at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
