Sister Thelma Ann Schwank

Sister Thelma Ann Schwank, SSSF, “Sister Kateria”, 85, passed
away Friday May 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on
Sept. 15, 1927 in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn
Buhrman Schwank. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on Aug. 31, 1943
and professed her vows on June 6, 1946. Sister served the community as a LPN at
various community missions. Sister Thelma is survived by her brother Jerry
(Janet) Schwank of Ukiah, CA, her cousins Marcella Peterson of Grand Island, NE
and Leonard Buhrman of North Platte, NE and the School Sisters of St. Francis
Community with whom she shared her life for 69 years. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held on Tues. May 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill
St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Tues. May 14th at St. Joseph
