Tanya M. Goebel

Tanya M. Goebel, 56, of West Bend, died on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1968, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Gerry “Skook” and Kathy (Immel) Blatz. Tanya graduated from New Holstein High School and still holds school track records. She earned an associate degree from UW- Fond du Lac. She worked as a payroll specialist for Eden Stone, Michels Corporation, and lastly, worked for Washington County Clerk of Courts. In her free time, she enjoyed camping, shopping, golfing, “catching” fish, waterskiing, volleyball, softball, gambling, and gardening.

Tanya is survived by her fiancé, Mark Backhaus; two sons, Devon (Tessa Wilson) and Dillon Goebel; mother, Kathy Blatz; brother; Brian (Gail) Blatz and their kids, Mia and Kent: and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerry “Skook” Blatz; brother, Timothy Blatz; grandparents, Gordon and Alice Immel and Germaine and Bernadette Blatz; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Froedtert Hospital and Nicole Wiegert for being “Tanya’s brain”.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the family for a charity to be named later.
