William A. Kunick
William A. Kunick, 89, of Van Dyne, passed away February 21, 2025 peacefully, with family by his side. He was born on July 24, 1935 to Arthur and Ethel (Funk) Kunick in Fond du Lac.
On July 27, 1957 he married the love of his life, Mary D. Perrizo at Presentation Church North Fond du Lac.
Bill graduated from LP Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac and started his 49-year career with Wells Manufacturing Corp. He honorably served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, as Medical Specialist and an additional six years in the Reserves.
Known for his unwavering kindness and infectious warmth, Bill touched the lives of all who knew him. He always had a ready smile and a kind word, readily offering support and guidance to those around him.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Christine (Ronald) Rohm of Janesville; his son, Michael (Rebecca) Kunick of Oakfield; two grandchildren, Laurel (Lennie) Childs Jr. and Joseph DeGarmo; two step-grandchildren, Nelita (Eric) Matter and Matthew (Savannah) Henning; great grandsons, Louie and Mac Childs and step-great grandchildren, Audianna, Temperance and Reddington Matter and Evanna Henning. He is further survived by beloved nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother, Robert Kunick and his sister, Marilyn Ronning.
Services: The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 27, 2025 for visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Presentation of the BVM, 705 Michigan Avenue, North Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment and military honors will be conducted at the Chapel of the Risen Christ, Calvary Mausoleum.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to his caring staff at Oakwood Manor in Oshkosh, SSM Waupun Christian Home and SSM Hospice for their care and compassion given to Bill and family.
