William J. Essmann

William J. Essmann, 70, of Fond du Lac passed away Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born July 31, 1942 in Campbellsport the son of William and Martha Kaehne Essmann. On Oct. 10, 1964 he married Patricia A. Van Asten at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. Bill worked at Friday and Lakeside Canning Factory in Eden for 50 years. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling with his four sons at his cabin at Black River Falls.

Survivors include his wife Patricia, his sons Thomas (Penny) of Lomira, Andrew of Eden, Matthew (Carolyn) of Byron and Peter (Theresa) of Oshkosh, his granddaughter Victoria, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Diane Hoffman.

Visitation will be Saturday Jan. 5th from 1:00 PM until time of services at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Memorial services will be held on Saturday Jan. 5th at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
