Officials Ask Drivers To Avoid I-41 Across Lake Butte des Morts Bridge

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region alerts motorist to low visibility and whiteout conditions on southbound I-41 across the Lake Butte des Morts Causeway in Winnebago County due to strong west-northwest winds.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is asking drivers to consider alternate routes for southbound I-41 across the causeway. The suggested alternate route is US 45 to WIS 21 through Oshkosh to avoid the hazardous conditions.
