One dead in Calumet County crash

On March 9, 2026, at 8:12 PM, the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a three-car crash at the intersection of State Highway 57/32 and Schneider Rd in the Town of Chilton.

Preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle northbound crossed into the southbound lane and struck two oncoming vehicles.

• The driver of the northbound vehicle was a 77-year-old male from De Pere. He died at the scene.
• The driver of one of the southbound vehicles was a 39-year-old male from Appleton. He was not injured.
• The driver of the other southbound vehicle was a 50-year-old male from Kiel. The driver and a child passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone that witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office.
