One dead in Dodge County crash

Dodge County emergency responders were dispatched to a fatal crash yesterday at the intersection of County I and County E, about four miles east of the City of Beaver Dam.

Just before 11:30 a.m., call came into the dispatch center reporting the two-vehicle crash

Initial investigation shows that an suv driven by a 64-year-old Janesville woman was northbound on I and approaching E. The driver entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound Dump truck driven by a 66-year-old male from Randolph.

According to the sheriff’s office, The dump truck driver had the right-of-way, with County Highway I being posted with stop signs. Preliminary investigation has yet to determine whether the woman stopped at the stop sign or not.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. The dump truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.
